FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER
REMOVAL
Raise
the
front wheels off the ground (page
1~48).
Support the lower arm. Remove the mounting nuts,
bolts
and
shock
absorber.
INSPECTION
Remove the pivot collar.
Check
the
pivot bushings for wear or damage.
Check
the
damper
unit
for leaks or other
damage.
Replace
the shock absorber assembly if necessary.
INSTALLATION
Install
new dust seals into the lower pivot with
the
lips side
facing
out
until
they
are fully
seated.
Apply molybdenum disulfide grease to the
lower
pivot bushing and dust seal lips.
Install
the
pivot collar.
Insert the boilS
Install the
shock absorber wi
t
h the mounting bolts
from the front side
and new nuts, and
tighten them.
TORQUE:
44 N'm (4.5
