Operation principle

IED has an internal database of alarm events that are saved to non-volatile memory every 60
minutes. Alarms can be viewed only in the Web HMI.
An alarm event is generated by activating (0 to 1 transition) an INPUTx input, provided the input
number is included in the channel range specified by the EventChMask parameter.
When the BLOCK input is active, alarms are not generated. However, if an input is activated while
BLOCK is active and remains active when BLOCK is deactivated, an alarm event is generated with
the time stamp of the original input activation. Input pulses, that is, an activation followed by a
deactivation, while BLOCK is active, are ignored.
Alarm generation for an individual input is inhibited if the associated EventMask parameter is set to
NoEvents.
