Restore settings with Configure
If you have backed up your settings, you can recover them in Configure after a system crash. You can only recover
the settings that were selected for back up.
1 In Configure, select Fiery Server > Restore.
2 Select the backup reference file and the backup data file and click Next.
3 Follow the on-screen instructions to restore your settings and click Finish.

Reset the configuration settings to factory defaults from the printer control panel

Important: If you reset the configuration settings to factory defaults, all the customized configuration settings
on the imagePRESS Server are lost. Before you reset the imagePRESS Server to factory defaults, we recommend
that you discuss the issue with technical support.
Note: You can reset the configuration settings to factory defaults from the printer control panel or in Configure
through Fiery Server > Restore Default Fiery Settings. This procedure describes the printer control panel method (the
Configure command is described in Configure Help). With either method, we recommend that you review all the
configuration settings after the reset and customize as required for your print environment.
1 Print out the configuration page or otherwise record the customized configuration settings. This can be used as a
reference if you want to reenter specific settings after returning the configuration to factory defaults.
2 On the printer control panel, press the Main Menu button.
3 If the Fiery icon is not displayed, press Show All.
4 Press Fiery.
5 Press Tools.
6 Press Setup.
7 Press Factory Defaults.
The server automatically reboots in order to apply the factory default settings.
8 Review the configuration settings and customize as required, then reboot to apply the changes.

Clearing the server

You can clear print jobs, VDP resources, and logs from the imagePRESS Server through the Server > Clear Server
command in Command WorkStation.
Note: Before clearing the server, confirm that print jobs are backed up onto your own media as required.
Note: You can delete an individual print job by right-clicking on the job in the Held or Printed list in Command
WorkStation.
