Enable IPv6 Filter
Select to allow IP filtering on the imagePRESS Server.
IPSec Setup
Enable IPSec
If users' computers support IPSec (Internet Protocol Security), you can allow the imagePRESS Server to accept
encrypted communications from users. Turn on to allow IPSec on the imagePRESS Server.
When this option is selected, you might not be able to use the following features:
Scan to FTP (via a proxy server)
IP Port filtering
Preshared key
If you previously defined a preshared key, enter it here. All incoming communication that uses IPSec must
contain this key.
IP Port Setup
For increased network security, implement TCP/IP port filtering by closing unused ports.
Enable Ports
You can use the ports list to specify which imagePRESS Server ports can receive inbound traffic from the
network. To allow all the selected ports in the list to receive inbound traffic, select the checkbox at the top of the
ports list. To cause all the listed ports to block inbound traffic from the network, deselect the checkbox at the
top. In either case, the ports can still send traffic.
If the checkbox at the top is selected, you can then allow or block inbound traffic to the ports individually by
selecting or deselecting the checkbox next to each port.
The ports list also includes checkboxes for EFI Ports and Canon Ports. These checkboxes can be used to allow or
block traffic to all the EFI or Canon ports.
The ports list is available in Configure (available at Security > TCP/IP Port Filtering).
The ports list is also available through the printer control panel, under Network. The printer control panel
checkbox Enable Ports has the same function as the Configure checkbox Enable TCP/IP Port Filter.
You can add a port through the Setup options in the printer control panel. The Setup Other Ports button is
available at the end of the ports list.
