This feature allows you to print imagePRESS Server information pages, including:
PS Test Page and Font List
PCL Test Page and PCL Font List
Configuration page
Job Log
E-mail Log (if email is enabled)
FTP log (if FTP printing is enabled)
Note: You must enable E-mail Service to print the E-mail Log. See
Note: You must enable FTP printing to print the FTP Log.
We recommend the following settings:
Set this option to On if the department ID and password are set from the printer.
Set this option to Off if the department ID or password are not specified from the printer. You can print
imagePRESS Server information pages and perform scans or calibrations without the department ID or
password.
Operator Dept. ID
Enter the seven numerals for the Department ID. The ID must match the one set from the printer control panel.
Operator Password
Enter the seven numerals to set the Department password. The password must match the one set from the printer
control panel.
We recommend that Enable Dept. ID be set to Off if no department ID or password is specified from the printer. You
can print imagePRESS Server information pages or perform scans or calibrations without the department ID or
password. Set Enable Dept. ID to On when the department ID and password are set from the printer.
If the department ID and password are set from the printer and the printer is set so it only accepts printing with the
department ID and password, the printer does not allow you to print imagePRESS Server information pages or
perform scans without the department ID and password. This function is called Allow Printer Jobs with Unknown IDs
(the default is On). For more information, see the documentation that accompanies the printer.
Additionally, you have Allow Black Copy/Inbox Print Jobs and Allow Black Printer Jobs for department ID and
password management (the default is Off). If either of these settings is set to Off, the printer does not allow you to
print without the department ID and password. For more details, see the documentation that accompanies the
printer.
