Zet het voertuig op een vlak weggedeelte
en controleer of het voertuig horizontaal
Staat; als de auto naar één kant overhelt
moet een SUZUKI dealer geraadpleegd
worden.
CONTROLEREN VAN DE
UITLAATGASSEN
Er is iets verkeerd als de uitlaatgassen of
uitgesproken wit of uitgesproken zwart
zyn. Als dit het geval is moet een in-
spectie uitgevoerd worden
SUZUKI dealer. Maar als de gassen wit
zyn op een koude dag, zal dit stoom zyn
en is er geen noodzaak voor inspectie.
FOUTEN VAN DE VORIGE
DAG
Controleer dat de fouten gevonden op
de vorige dag volledig verholpen zyn,
zodat er zonder hinder gereden kan
worden.
ATTENTIE: Als U voelt dat er iets
verkeerd is met enige van de boven-
staande onderdelen, of dat er iets
verkeerd is en U voelt dat U het niet
zelf kan repareren, laat het voertuig
niet in deze conditie maar breng het
direct naar een SUZUKI dealer voor
inspectie en afstelling.

If the belt is too loose, the electricity
supply will be insufficient, which may
cause overheating and wear of the belt.
The tension of the belt should be such
that there is a deflection of 1 0 - 1 5 mm
(0.4 — 0.6 in) when the central part of
the belt is pressed strongly. The belt
should also be examined to ensure that
it is not damaged. Adjustment and re-
placement of the belt should be carried
out in the following way:
1. Stop the engine.
2. Loosen the three bolts (Nos. (1),
(2) and (3) in the drawing) securing
the alternator.
3. When stretching the belt, push the
alternator outwards with the belts
loosened, tighten the bolts at the
point where the tension of the belt
is held within the limits specified
above, and fix the alternator securely.
4. To replace the belt, slide the alter-
nator inwards with the bolts loosened
and replace it. Having replaced it,
stretch the belt as specified in " 3 "
above.
NOTE: When replacing the belt w i t h new one,
give a tension as shown below.
