VOORKOMEN VAN
ONGELUKKEN
Zoals met alle machines, moet U uiter
mate voorzichtig zyn als U aan uw voer-
tuig werkt, dit om ongelukken te voor-
komen. Hier zyn een paar voorzorgsma-
atregelen waar U speciaal op moet letten:
* Houds uw kleren, gereedschap en
andere dingen uit de weg als de motor
loopt van de draaiende ventilator en
ventilatorriem.
* Wees voorzichtig dat U geen warme
uitlaat-onderdelen
stuk en uitlaatpypen).
* Laat geen, vonken, of vlammen toe
rondom de benzine of accu, omdat de
damp brandbaar is.
* Ga niet onder het voertuig liggen als
het ondersteund wordt met de krick
die bij uw voertuig geleverd wordt.
* Wees voorzichtig dat U per ongeluk
geen kortsluiting tussen de battery-
polen veroorzaakt (positieve en nega-
tieve).

CHECKING INDICATOR LIGHTS,
GAUGES AND METER
Charging light and oil pressure light
Check to see that these lights come on
when the ignition switch is turned on and
go out after the engine has been started.
Brake system warning light
Check to see that this light comes on
when the ignition key is turned on and
goes out when the parking brake lever
is fully depressed.
Fuel gauge

Check to see that the gauge functions

Water temperature gauge and speedo-
meter
Make sure that these gauge and meter
function

CHECKING LIGHTS
Turn on the switches and check that
the head lights, small lights and other
lights have come on. Depress the brake
pedal and ensure that the braking lights
have lit up. Put the shift lever into the
R (reverse) position and check that the
back-up lights have come on. Finally,
remember to check that the lights are
not dirty or damaged.

Check that the horn, turn signals, wipers
and windshield washer are in proper
working order.
CHECKING FUEL
Make sure that there is enough petrol
to reach one's destination.
CHECKING DOOR LOCKS
Make sure that the doors (LJ80V and
LJ81) and the front gate bar (LJ80)
are locked.
CHECKING REAR MIRROR
Check that there is clear rear vision from
the driving position.
CHECKING NUMBER PLATE
Check for dirt and damage. Check that
the number plate is securely fixed and
that the figures on it are clearly visible.
CHECKING SUSPENSION
Put the vehicle on a horizontal surface
and check that there is no inclination.
If any inclination is found, the vehicle
must be inspected by a SUZUKI dealer.
