3.4 Installing Hall Effect Sensors





Procedure
Step 1 Route the positive and negative battery string cables through the Hall effect sensors.
Step 2 Secure Hall effect sensors to the positive and negative battery string cables.

Ensure that the arrow direction on the Hall effect sensor is consistent with the battery
charging current direction.
The arrow on the Hall effect sensor on the positive battery string cable should point to the
battery string. The arrow on the Hall effect sensor on the negative battery string cable
should point to the BCB box.
It is not recommended to install Hall inside BCB box.
If the positive or negative battery string cable is too thick to be routed through the Hall
effect sensor, or the measurement range of the Hall effect sensor is not enough, use
multiple Hall effect sensors to detect the current of one battery string. The iBOX supports
the sum of the detecting results of multiple Hall effect sensors.
