Chapter 9: Troubleshooting
To review the warnings and errors list
1.
Select the Maintenance tab.
2.
Press the Errors/Warnings button. Review the error or warning instructions on the screen, and
perform the appropriate action or actions.
3.
Press the Reset button to clear the Error (E) message from the header.
4.
To export the error list in .csv format, press the Export Errors button then select either USB or Ethernet.

Analyzer Warnings and Error Messages

These warnings and error messages appear on the screen of the Analyzer if the condition occurs. The warnings
and error messages appear in the Status area located on lower portion of the screen.
50 - Power Error on System/Controller Board
Message: "Power error on System/Controller Board. Please power cycle the Analyzer. If the problem persists,
export errors and contact GE Analytical Instruments for further instructions and analysis."
Explanation: Replace the System/Controller Board.150 - Software Control Error
Message: "Software control error. Please power cycle the Analyzer. If the problem persists, export errors and
contact GE Analytical Instruments for further instructions and analysis."
Explanation: There are a variety of causes for this error. This error should be very rare. Analysis of the exported
errors will give the specific line of code that triggered the error in order to suggest the resolution.
250 - Syringe Position Error
Message: "Syringe position error. Please power cycle the Analyzer. If the problem persists, export errors and
contact GE Analytical Instruments for further instructions and analysis."
Explanation: There is a potential problem in the operation of the syringe pump. Refer to the Diagnostics, Liquid
Flow section on
"Liquid Flow Check" on page
251- Gas Flow Regulation Error
Message: "Gas flow regulation error. See O&M manual error description for details."
Explanation: The PID Test has either failed to stabilize in the allotted time or is out of the acceptable range.
Therefore, the test was not able to determine which PID settings to use. First, determine which Gas Valve PID
settings should be selected by identifying which Gas Manifold is installed in your particular instrument, as
described in
"Comparing Gas Manifold Types / PID Settings" on page
