Editing a Calibration

If a calibration measurement is inaccurate (e.g., due to a bubble in the sample or oxidizer lines), it can be
rejected from calibrations. Any measurement can be rejected if there are at least two 'good' calibration
measurements at that calibration point following the rejection. After the inaccurate measurement is deleted, the
Analyzer will calculate a new slope, intercept, measured and % RSD values for the calibration.
When the Apply button then is pressed, the new slope and intercept are placed in the Analyzer's memory, and
are used whenever this calibration is selected. No editing can be performed after the Apply button has been
pressed.
To edit a calibration, press the Measurements button when the calibration is complete
column on the left of the new display shows the concentration of the standard at each calibration point. The
next column displays the repetition number. The measured value for each repetition appears in the third column,
and the fourth column displays the % Difference between the measured value and the concentration of the
standard. The fifth column identifies whether or not that measurement is a reject. The Reject/Accept button
toggles the status (Y or N) of the highlighted measurement. A calibration point must have at least two non-
rejected measurements before another measurement can be rejected.
To view a plot of the calibration curve, press the Cal. Curve button. A plot of mg/L of Carbon (ppm) vs. Mass
Response (μg) appears on the screen. The points used are the average from each concentration. Press the Back
button to return to Measurements.
When the Back button is pressed, the Calibration Summary screen is shown again, with the new slope, intercept,
measured and % RSD. Remember to press the Apply button to save the edited calibration.
