Disk Mirroring

The DVR supports disk mirroring to prevent unexpected loss of recorded video data
that might be caused by disk damage or corruption.

To set up disk mirroring, in the main Setup menu (see
Storage, then press #. The Storage Information screen appears.

In the Information screen, you can enable mirroring between two disks by
designating the source disk and the destination disk from a list of internal hard
disk drives.
Highlight the boxes under Source and Dest., then press # to select the source
disk and the destination disk for the Mirror.
Note
Please note the following:
The source disk can be designated only from devices formatted for
recording.
A device formatted for archiving cannot be used for disk mirroring.
The manufacturer, model and capacity of the source disk and the
destination disk should be same for the proper mirroring between two
disks.
While disks are mirroring, the DVR will stop archiving video data.
Any existing data on the Destination Disk will be erased after it is
designated as a mirror destination disk.
