Verifying CEF NSF

To verify that CEF is NSF-capable, enter the show cef state command:

Configuring BGP NSF
You must configure BGP graceful restart on all peer devices participating in BGP NSF.
Note
To configure BGP for NSF, perform this task (repeat this procedure on each of the BGP NSF peer
devices):

Verifying BGP NSF
To verify BGP NSF, you must check that BGP graceful restart is configured on the SSO-enabled
networking device and on the neighbor devices. To verify, follow these steps:

Purpose
Enters global configuration mode.
Enables a BGP routing process, which places the
switch in switch configuration mode.
Enables the BGP graceful restart capability,
starting BGP NSF.
If you enter this command after the BGP session
has been established, you must restart the session
for the capability to be exchanged with the BGP
neighbor.
Use this command on the restarting switch and all
of its peers.
