1. Remove front cover and trim ring: Do the Front Cover, Trim Ring, and Menu
Buttons procedure on page 6–20, removing only the front cover and trim
ring.
CAUTION. To prevent exceeding the environmental characteristics for EMI,
carefully follow the instructions given, when reinstalling the EMI gaskets and/or
the AWG2021 cabinet.
2. Remove EMI gaskets:
a. You will need a needle-nose pliers to do this part of the procedure.
b. Locate the EMI gaskets in the locator diagram, External Modules, in
Figure 6–3.
c. Use a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the four sections of EMI
gaskets from the groove in the trim ring.
3. Reinstall EMI gaskets: Press the EMI gaskets back into the groove in the
trim ring.
1. Assemble equipment and locate modules to be removed: No tools are needed.
Locate the modules to be removed in the locator diagram, External Modules,
in Figure 6–3.
2. Orient instrument: Set the AWG2021 with the back down on the work
surface and bottom facing you (see Figure 6–8).
3. Remove front cover: If the optional front cover is installed, grasp the front
cover by the left and right edges and snap it off of the trim ring. (When
reinstalling, align and snap back on.)
4. Remove front-panel knob: Do the Front-panel Knob procedure, on
page 6–16.
