5.4 Selecting a Product Type

What is product type?
The PV310 allows you to save 64 pairs of inspection conditions. The combination of these inspection conditions
is called a "Product Type". You can create a title for each product type. In addition, you can execute inspection by
switching the saved product types according to the signals from external device.
Setting items that are saved as product types
The following items in the menu bar can be saved as a product type.
Menu
Description
TYPE
Title
CHECKER
All the items associated with the checker function- number of checker settings and
inspection conditions
TOOL
Calculation of inspection results, Judgment Calculation, Calcu.-Stat.-Output, Marker, Ref.
Point, Display settings at the time of inspection execution (in RUN mode) and inspection
execution mode conditions
The following setting items are commonly used for all product types.

Description
ENVIRONMENT
Initial Settings - Camera, shutter speed, etc.
The way of saving an image
Conversion Data (settable up to 4 product types)
The way of outputting inspection results (output destinations, type of output data)
Selection of whether or not to output an image to the external device and how to output
an image to the external device.

5.4.1 Selecting a Product Type

Select "TYPE" in the menu bar.
A list of product types is displayed. The product type number with a title indicates that inspection conditions
are already saved as the product type number.

Choose a number which you assign to the product type.
If the number is assigned to the product type, the product number is displayed in the left upper area of the
screen.
Using a Compact Flash memory card or AXTOOL (Ver.3) enables you to use more than 65 pairs of
product types.
