Carrying Out Control of External Devices

By recalling a register containing setting data for external device control, as
when automatically executing a keyframe effect, you can automatically control
an external device.
Use the following procedure.

Basic Operation for External Device Control
Press the [P-BUS] button in the numeric keypad control block, turning it
on, to select the P-BUS region.
Enter the number of the register to be recalled, with the numeric keypad
buttons.
Using the edit point specification buttons and fader lever in the keyframe
control block, stop the effect on the desired edit point.
When the edit point is on a keyframe, this is the keyframe to be amended;
if the edit point is between two keyframes, the immediately preceding
keyframe is the one to be amended.
In the Device menu, press VF2 'P-Bus Timeline.'
The Device>P-Bus Timeline menu appears.
The status area shows a window for setting the action for the P-BUS device
at the edit point specified in step 5.
Change the setting of the action for the edit point.
For more details of making the change, see "Setting an action" (page 14).
Press the [MOD] button.
In the numeric keypad control block, press the [EFF] button, turning it on.
The [RCALL] button in the numeric keypad control block lights.
Press the [P-BUS] button in the numeric keypad control block, turning it
on, to select the P-BUS region.
Enter the number of the register to be recalled with the numeric keypad
buttons.
Press the [RUN] button in the keyframe control block, lighting it amber.
This controls the external device according to the keyframe data.
