Troubleshooting

The following table describes typical technical issues that you may encounter from
time to time and tells you how to solve them.
If this happens ...
Grainy, poor quality
Video
No Video
Unit stops responding, or
cannot be reached by the
DVM System

Do this ...
The bit rate may be set too low for the current
resolution, framerate and compression mode. Try
increasing the Bit Rate or Quality setting in the
Video page of the HNVE130A streamer.
Confirm that the video standard is set correctly. The
unit will default to NTSC and must be changed to
PAL if a PAL video source is applied (see
page 22).
Also, confirm that the video standard configured as
the DVM camera definition is the same as the video
source given.
Verify that the encoder is working properly by
connecting directly to the encoder HTTP interface.
Use the ENCP application to determine the unit IP
address, if required, and connect to the streamer
with your browser (see
page

Viewing Live Images

is working properly, review the DVM IP address,
