Setting the IP Address

The Easy Network Configuration Program (ENCP) application is used to
configure the IP Address, unit name and password. This application is provided
on a CD with each unit and can be run directly from the CD, or run from a more
convenient location such as your desktop. Simply copy the ENCP.exe file to the
desired location and double-click it to launch the application. You will see
Figure
2-3.

Each encoder is factory configured with a default static IP address of 192.168.1.2.
Configure the IP address as follows:
1.
Connect the encoder to the network with a CAT-5 cable and apply power.
2.

within the current network subnet. The individual encoders can be identified
from the list by reading the MAC address on the serial number label on the
bottom of the module and finding the encoder on the ENCP device list.
3.
Select the desired encoder from the list on the left-hand side of the
application.
4.
Select the Network Info tab on the right-hand side.
