Cisco 6945 Phone and Voicemail User Guide

To Transfer a Call...

o Press the Transfer button on your phone, dial the number to transfer to, then...

To Cancel a Call Transfer...

o Before it is answered
o After it is answered

To Transfer a Call Directly to Voicemail...

o Press the Transfer button
o Press the star/asterisk button (*)
o Key in the person's extension
o Press the Transfer button again to complete the transfer

To Create a Conference Call...

The conferencing limit is sixteen phones. However, for group calls with four or more participants, we
recommend using the "Meet Me" style conference call (please see below). For traditional conference
calling:
o Call the first person from your desk phone
o Press the "Conference" button. This will put the original person on hold, and will meanwhile
create a new dial tone for you.
o Dial the next number that you would like to conference in
o Press the "Conference" button again
o This will take the original person off from "Hold," and will join all three parties together
o Repeat this process to add additional parties
For "Meet-Me" Conference Calling...
o Please refer to instructions under the "New Stuff" section on page 5
To Forward Your Calls... (limited to campus and local numbers only)
o Press the Fwd All softkey at the bottom of the screen and enter the desired number

Wait on the line until someone answers or the call goes to voicemail
Press the "Swap" softkey to move between the two calls
Press the Transfer button to release the call
Press the "Cancel" softkey and then the "Resume" softkey to reconnect to the original
caller
Press the "End Call" softkey and then the Resume softkey to reconnect to the original
caller
