PV Limit
Slidewire Calib
124
Reason for Failure
process input is outside the
range limits.
Two consecutive failures of
input 1 integration, i.e., cannot
make analog to digital
conversion. This will happen if:
Upscale or Downscale
l
burnout is selected, and the
input is open
Input not configured
l
correctly for the sensor
being used
Calibration test failed
l
Input source is grossly out of
l
range.
PV in engineering unit (with
ratio and bias) is out of limit.
PV limit is same as burnout
high/low limit, Linear ±10%,
TC/RTD ±1%, Input Algorithm
0%.
PV = Input 1 x Ratio 1 + Input 1
BIAS
Input 2 Type is configured as Field Calibrate the slidewire. See
1.
How to Correct the Problem
actuation are configured
properly.
2.
Check the input source.
3.
Restore the factory calibration.
(See Restore Input Factory
Calibration for more
information.)
4.
Field calibrate. See  Input
Calibration for more
information.
1.
Make sure the actuation is
configured correctly. See
Configuration for more
information.
2.
Make sure the input is correct
and that it has not burned-out
(opened).
3.
Check for gross over-ranging
with a multimeter
4.
Restore factory calibration. See
Restore Input Factory
Calibration for more
information.
1.
Make sure the input signal is
correct.
2.
Make sure the Ratio and Bias
settings are correct.
3.
Recheck the calibration. Use
Bias of 0.0.
