Servicing the LCNP4e/LCNP4e2

The LCNP4e/LCNP4e2 board has 256 MB of on-board memory.
NOTE
A Local Control Network Processor (LCNP) board and LCN Media Access Unit (MAU) are no
longer used if the Server has been upgraded to be an ELCN node.

The LCNP4e/LCNP4e2 board is located in the PCIe slot 3.
To replace the LCNP4e/LCNP4e2 board
NOTE
If upgrading to an ELCN node, perform Steps 1 through 8 to remove the LCNP4 board.
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Remove the power cords from the rear end of the server and wait for 20 seconds.
3. Remove the front bezel. Refer to the section
4. Remove the side cover of the server. Refer to the section
5. Disconnect the LCN MAU cable from the LCNP4e/LCNP4e2 board.
