1-7-1.

After Replacement of EEPROM

IC5607 (EEPROM) on the HPR-56 board has data of the unit, such as serial number and operation time.
After the EEPROM has been replaced, write data to a new EEPROM.
For how to write data to an EEPROM, contact your local Sony Sales Office/Service Center.
1-7-2.

In Replacing the HPR-56 Board

No data is stored in the IC5607 (EEPROM) on a new HPR-56 board.
When replacing the HPR-56 board, remove IC5607 (EEPROM) from the current board and install it on a new board.
Note
When IC5607 (EEPROM) is not transferred, it is necessary to write data to a new IC5607 (EEPROM).
If you have any questions on how to write data to an EEPROM, contact your local Sony Sales Office/Service Center.

After Replacement of Lithium Battery for Backup

A lithium battery for backup is mounted on the HPR-56 board. This battery keeps date and time information. After this
battery has been replaced, set LOCAL DATE and LOCAL TIME in the menu.
For the menu operation, refer to the Operating Instructions.

SSD Module (mSATA Assembly)

After the SSD module is replaced, it is necessary to setup Windows and update the software.
Follow the standard way of Windows 8 to setup Windows.
Internet environment which allows you to connect to Microsoft license server is required to activate Windows.
Required equipment
• USB mouse
• USB keyboard
• PC monitor (with analog 15-pin interface, resolution of 1920x1080)
• Cable for PC monitor
• Network cable
Preparation
The unit must be turned off during the preparation.
1.
Connect the mouse and keyboard to the USB connector.
2.
Connect the PC monitor to the connector CN3201 on the HPR-56 board.
Note
Do not connect the unit to any network at this time.
Procedure
1.
Turn on the unit to start Windows.
