Execute the following commands.
X:\windows\system32>R:
R:>cd recovery
R:\recovery>dir
R:\recovery>recovery.bat
Volume 0 which is shown as C drive in the example of "Preparing drives" is initialized, and then image of the OS
is extracted.
Note
When the recovery.bat file is not found in the recovery folder, contact your local Sony Sales Office/Service Center.
Tip
It takes about 20 minutes to complete this procedure.

Execute the following command.
R:\recovery>wpeutil shutdown
Windows shuts down.

Disconnect the USB memory from the unit.

Turn on the unit.

Setup Windows. (Refer to

Press and hold the [Delete] key and turn on the unit.
BIOS setup window is displayed.
5.
Select "Restore Defaults" on [Save and Exit] tab, and then execute [Load Optimized Defaults].
6.
Press the [F4] key.
[Save & Reset] is executed, and then the unit restarts.
7.
Press the power button on the front panel for about one second.
The unit is turned off.
8.
Disconnect the PC monitor.
9.
Disconnect the keyboard and mouse.
10. Install the top panel assembly
