Installing the ONS 15454 M6 Shelf

Note
A standard rack can hold six or seven ONS 15454 M6 shelves. When mounting a shelf in a partially filled
rack, load the rack from the bottom to the top with the heaviest component at the bottom of the rack. If the
rack is provided with stabilizing devices, install the stabilizers before mounting or servicing the unit in the
rack.
Note
The ONS 15454 M6 requires a minimum of six RU of vertical rack space.
Procedure
Step 1
Verify that the proper fuse and alarm panel has been installed in the top mounting space. If a fuse and alarm
panel is not present, you must install one according to manufacturer's instructions:
• For a DC power supply, the fuse rating must not exceed 40A.
• For AC power supply, the fuse rating must not exceed 20A.
Step 2
Mount the first shelf in the bottom of the rack using the

• Six #12-24 x 3/4 pan-head Phillips mounting screws, per shelf
