If you enabled email alerts, the ReadyDATA 5200 sends a message when the factory
defaults are restored.

Shut Down or Restart the System

Use the Power icon that is accessible from any Dashboard screen to gracefully shut down or
restart the ReadyDATA 5200.
To gracefully shut down or restart the system:
1.
Click the Power icon in the upper right corner of the navigation bar:

Select one of the following options from the drop-down list:
Shut down. Gracefully power down the system.
Restart. Gracefully power down the system and restart it.
3.
Confirm your selection.
If you enabled email alerts, the ReadyDATA 5200 sends a message after it restarts.

Recover the Administrator Password

You can recover a lost or forgotten administrator password in two ways:
Use NETGEAR's password recovery tool. This web-based tool requires that you
enable administrator password recovery on your ReadyDATA 5200 before you can use it.
For more information, see
Perform an OS reinstall reboot. This process reinstalls the firmware on the ReadyDATA
5200 and resets the administrator user name and password to factory defaults.
Recover the Administrator Password Using NETGEAR's Password
Recovery Tool
This procedure is an option only if you enabled password recovery by providing a password
recovery question, answer, and email address as described in
Password
on page 45. If you lost the password but did not enable administrator password
recovery, see
Recover the Administrator Password Using an OS Reinstall Reboot
page 142.
To recover your administrator password using NETGEAR's password recovery tool:
1.
Go to https://<ReadyDATA_IP_address>/password_recovery.
<ReadyDATA_IP_address> is the IP address of the ReadyDATA 5200.
The ReadyDATA Password Recovery screen displays:
