Removing

^ Turn handset power off before removing battery.
^ Do not remove battery immediately after saving files, sending messages, etc.

Slide Portrait/Macro Selector
to Portrait

Pull out Battery Cover Latch
as shown in e , then slide
cover as indicated in f

This product requires a lithium-ion battery.
Lithium-ion batteries are a recyclable resource.
^ To recycle a used lithium-ion battery, take it to any shop displaying the
symbol shown to the right.
^ To avoid fire or electric shock, do not:

Lift and remove cover as
shown

Remove battery

^ Take hold of Battery Tab here, push
down as shown in e, then lift as
indicated in f.
Rapid Charger
Use specified Charger only.

Small Light
Terminal Cover

External Device Connector

Open Terminal Cover and
insert Charger connector until
it clicks

Plug in Charger
^ Extend Charger blades. (Fold back
when not in use.)
^ Charging starts and Small Light
illuminates red (see P.1-20).

Do not pull, bend or twist Rapid Charger cord.

Charging is complete when

After Charging
Unplug Charger from the AC
outlet, then handset
^ Squeeze release tabs and pull
connector straight out.
^ Replace Terminal Cover to protect
External Device Connector.
