5.1 Preparing Cables

Select cables in compliance with local cable standards, especially the electrical
specifications and application environment. The key factors include the rated
current, cable type, routing method, maximum expected line loss, rated
temperature, ambient temperature, thermal resistance, acidity, sedimentation, and
environmental protection requirements.
