Replace the TEC-2402.

Remove the white electric cover. Refer to

Locate the TEC-2402 controller, then unplug harness connectors P01 and P02.

Remove the four mounting bolts (1 on each corner) securing the original TEC-2402 controller, and remove
the original controller.
4.
Secure the replacement TEC with the four mounting bolts.
5.
Plug in harness connectors P01 and P02.
Use Toro DIAG to program the TEC, and then restore the TD2 file.
Note:
TEC controllers are programmed to specific machine model and serial numbers. TEC controllers do not
function until programmed by Toro DIAG.

Connect a PC with Toro DIAG software to the machine through a Toro DIAG cable (Part No. 115-1944).

Use the Toro DIAG software to reprogram the machine in accordance with Toro DIAG User's Guide. The
replacement TEC is programmed during the reprogramming of the machine.
3.
Use the Toro DIAG software to restore the timers and counters file (the TD2 file) from the original TEC
into the replacement TEC, in accordance with the Controller Reformatting section of the Toro DIAG
User's Guide.
4.
Disconnect the Toro DIAG cable from the machine.

diagnostic, maintenance, and/or repair activities are complete:

1.
Remove all diagnostic equipment and tools that are attached to the machine for troubleshooting or repair.
2.
Fully reassemble the machine. This includes all guards, covers, cable ties, and parts loosened or removed.
3.
Ensure that all nuts, bolts, screws, and belts are properly tightened.
