5 System Operation and Maintenance
Possible Causes
1. The EEV is faulty or
its step is incorrect.
2. The cables to the
EEV are not properly
connected.
3. The EEV coil is
loose.
4. The plug of the EEV
is loose.
5. The plug of the EEV
is short-circuited.
6. The outdoor
temperature sensor
displays an incorrect
temperature or is
faulty.
The EEV Low
Superheat Alarm is
triggered multiple
times within a
specified period of
time.
1. The EEV is not
connected.
2. The EEV coil is
short-circuited.
3. The EEV drive circuit
of the indoor unit
main control board
is faulty.
The EEV Drive Alarm is
triggered multiple
times within a
specified period of
time.
Solution
1. Check and replace
the EEV.
2. Check and replace
the EEV body.
3. Secure the EEV coil.
4. Secure the plug.
5. Eliminate the short-
circuit fault.
6. Adjust or replace
the outdoor
temperature sensor.
