(1) Remove the light-collecting guide assembly (for front surface).

(2) Remove the scanning optics unit.

(3) Remove the mirror mechanism assembly.

(4) Attach two spacers to the guide of the subscanning unit.

• When attaching the spacer, align the sides of the spacer and guide together.
• Align the bottom of the spacer to the corner of the guide.
• Fit the spacer to the guide so that it does not protrude from the guide.
