Phenomenon
The UA5000 version is UA5000IPMBV100R013C03B032SP02, the UA5000 is connected
Description: upstream through the FE port, and the path is IPMB - SDH - OSN3500 - 6650 - MA5200G. This
office is already in service for half a year but the problem that error 678 is prompted during the
dialup of all subscribers occurs at the interval of about one month. Reset the IPMB control board
but the fault persists. After the entire shelf is powered off, the dialup is normal sometimes.
Alarm Error 678 is prompted during the dialup of all broadband subscribers.

Cause
1. Because the dialup is normal after the entire shelf is powered off and the check at the moment
Analysis: shows that the IPMB uplink port is normal, the IPMB control board or O2FN daughter board
may be faulty.
2. Because the upper-layer device needs to perform the flexible QinQ processing, the data of the
upper-layer device may have problems.
Handling 1. Because the dialup is normal after the entire shelf is powered off and the check at the moment
Process:
shows that the IPMB uplink port is normal, the IPMB control board or O2FN daughter board
may be faulty. Replace IPMB and the O2FN daughter board, and the dialup is normal for several
minutes. After IPMB is powered off again, however, error 678 is prompted again during the
dialup. This indicates that the UA5000 is normal.
2. The data of the upper-layer device may have problems. Use a switch to perform the test on site
and the dialup is normal each time. This indicates that the upper layer is normal.
3. Check the networking for IPMB and the switch and it is found that only one cable is replaced.
Then, check the uplink network cable of IPMB and it is found that the wire sequence of the
network cable is incorrect. Replace the cable with another straight through cable and then test the
service, and the service is normal. Then, power off IPMB, test the service, and the service is
normal.
Suggestions The wire sequence at both ends of the straight through cable is
and summary: "white-orange-orange-white-green-green-white-blue-blue-white-blown-blown", which does not
comply with the standard of the straight through cable.
Because in this kind of problem, the number of upper-layer devices is large, the problem should
be located one segment by one segment.
