Analysis:
1. The data configuration of the UA5000 is incorrect.
2. The data configuration of the MA5100 is incorrect.
3. The data configuration of the MA5200G is incorrect.
Handling
1. Check the data configuration of the UA5000 and MA5100. The data configuration is correct.
Process:
Check the data configuration of the MA5200G. The data is the same as that of terminating
MA5100 and UA5000 services.
2. Perform port mirroring on the LAND board of the MA5100, ping the IP address of the
MA5200G from the UA5000, ping the IP address of the UA5000 from the MA5200G, and
capture packets during ping operations.
3. Analyze the capture packets and it is found that the original MAC address in the ICMP packets
sent by the MA5200G is 00-00-00-00-00-00. The UA5000 regards the MAC address as being
illegal, discards the packet, and does not send a response to the MA5200G. Thus, the service
fails.
4. Confirm with MA5200G technical support engineers and know that the MAC address of all 0s
is the MAC address of the VE interface of the MA5200G. Log in to the MA5200G and view
related configuration of the VE interface. You can find that the VE interface is not configured
with the MAC address. Set an MAC address that does not consist of all 0s for the VE interface of
the MA5200G, and then ping the IP addresses of the MA5200G and UA5000. The ping
operations succeed.
5. In the uplink direction, the UA5000 sends the message to the MA5200G through the MA5100,
the inband NMS on the MA5200G adopts IPoEoA service encapsulation mode. Services are
transmitted over PPPoEoA, and the VE interface must be bound to the MA5200G. The difference
between the UA5000 and the MA5100 is that the UA5000 adds MAC address anti-spoofing.
Therefore, the services of the MA5100 are normal while those of the UA5000 fail.
