INPUTS/OUTPUTS
In three-terminal applications, both the remote terminals must grant permission to trip. Therefore, at each terminal, direct
inputs 5 and 6 are ANDed in FlexLogic and the resulting operand configured as the permission to trip (
setting).

DIRECT ANALOGS
The direct analogs feature allows the transmission of analog values between any two UR-series relays that support the
feature. The communication channel is the same as that used for the direct inputs and outputs. When the direct inputs and
outputs and direct analog features are used together on the same channel, all UR-series relays must be using firmware
version 5.20 or higher.
Values are transmitted as unscaled floating point numbers. The units for these values are the base units of the FlexAnalog
value (for example, volts, amperes, watts, vars, VA, and so on).
Transmission of values occurs once every 250 ms, defined as the integrity period. Deadband and FlexLogic trigger checks
are performed once per power system cycle. Once a deadband or FlexLogic trigger occurs, the next transmission does not
occur until the next 250 ms integrity time-out.
