Here is a complete description of the central unit's configurable parameters:

4.1.1. The central unit operative mode

As the 40 series central unit is used solely in stand-alone mode it does not have a CS 31 bus
connection
The 50 series central units, on the other hand, have three operative modes:
- Master central unit
- Slave central unit
- or Stand-alone
A slave central unit has a bus address n between 0 and 61. The address is chosen by the user
according to the application and configured in the "Central unit operative mode" by selecting
slave n .
Comment:
Any configuration of the slave central unit is accompanied by the configuration of the
transmission / reception range between the master and the slave.
Recognition of a slave central unit is signaled in bit 1 of the IW 62.15 variable. If the value of
IW 62.15 is such that the bit 1 is set to 1 (xxxx xxxx xxxx xx1x), then the slave central unit was
accepted by the CS 31 bus.
Important!
It is necessary to initialize the central unit, so that it can start with the right system
configuration, after any configuration of the central unit operative mode.
Two phases are necessary for a change in the central unit operative mode:
Change and send the configuration. While sending, the backup in the Flash EEPROM of
the central unit is carried out automatically.
Activation of the new central unit mode via a central unit cold or warm start.
