Lane Keeping Assist System (For some types)
When the headlight lenses are
dirty and the lights can't illuminate
the road sufficiently.
When the windscreen is dirty or
cloudy.
When a strong back light is
reflected on the road surface.
When the road surface is wet and
shiny such as after if it has been
raining and when there are
puddles on the road.
When crash barriers are creating
shadows parallel to the lines on
the road.
When the lane the car is in is too
narrow or too wide.
When the lane the car is in is
bumpy or distorted.
When the car is about to approach
the top of a hill.

Comfort and Convenience Features
Suspending of the LKAS
The LKAS will be suspended, the
dotted lane symbol will appear on the
multi-information display and you
will hear a beep. The system will
stop to apply the steering torque.
The LKAS will be suspended under
any of the conditions below.
When the system fails to detect
lane lines.
When the car speed goes below 64
km/h (40 mph).
When the car speed goes over 180
km/h (112 mph).
When the steering wheel is
quickly turned.
When you do not operate the
steering wheel.

When the car runs on a sharply
curved road.
When you press the brake pedal.
When you operate the turn signals.
After all of these conditions are
cleared, the LKAS will resume
automatically.
