Configuring the Client Adapter
Do not force or rock the adapter into the expansion slot as this could damage the adapter and the slot.
Caution
If the adapter does not insert easily, remove the adapter and reinsert it.
Replace the computer cover.

Attach the 2-dBi antenna to the adapter's antenna connector until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

This section describes the client adapter's configuration process for Mac OS 9.x and Mac OS X operating
systems.
Basic Configuration on Mac OS 9.x
Click the apple-shaped icon in the top left corner of the desktop.

Select Control Panels > AppleTalk. The AppleTalk window appears.

Make sure the name of the correct wireless LAN adapter appears in the Connect via dialog box. If it does
not, click the up or down arrow on the right side of the Connect via dialog box and select the correct
adapter.

Close the AppleTalk window.
Step 5
If a window appears asking if you want to save changes to the current configuration, click the Save
button.
Step 6
Click the apple-shaped icon in the top left corner of the desktop.

Select Control Panels > TCP/IP. The TCP/IP window appears.

Select Cisco Wireless LAN Adapter in the Connect via drop-down box.
