Names and Functions of Each Part
@Band Selector (BAND/BP)
FM. . . For listening to (or recording) FM broadcasts.
AM . . .For listening to (or recording) AM broadcasts.

received frequency ranges and number of bands vary depending on the area of use.
(2)Mode Selector (MODE)
For switching between monaural and stereo.
Tuning Indicator
Lights up when a station is tuned in to facilitate tuning.
Channel Indicator
Indicates the selected station.
@ Tuning Knob (TUNING)
Tune in to the desired station while watching the station indicator.
@Power Indicator
Lights up when power is turned on. If the indicator becomes
dimmer when using battery
power, please replace the batteries.
@® Power Switch (POWER)
When this switch is in the ON position, power is supplied to the unit and the pwoer indi-
cator lights up.
@Function Selector (FUNCTION)

Used when

player, another cassette deck or electronic instrument
etc. is connected for line input.
RADIO.

(@ Main Volume Control (MAIN VOLUME)
Sliding this control towards MAX (maximum) increases the overall volume. Sliding it towards
MIN (minimum) decreases volume.
i) Headphone Jack (PHONES)
For connection of headphones (standard phone jack).
(Microphone Mixing Jack (MIC MIXING)
For connection of an external microphone (standard phone jack).
(Mixing Volume Control (MIXING VOLUME)
(Tone Control (TONE)
For tone adjustment of the sound produced by the speakers or headphones. Sliding it towards
LOW stresses bass, sliding it towards HIGH stresses treble.
(3 Balance Control (BALANCE)
Sliding the control towards LEFT
increases the sound level from the left channel, sliding it
towards RIGHT increases the sound level from the right channel.
