Saving a Program on Tape (DT Function)
* Saving Operation After the First Tune
In step & of the above illustration, press ten-key "2", then the RECORD
button. After
automatically rewinding or advancing the tape, the next (in our case, the second) tune is
saved on the tape just after the first one. This method saves you the trouble of searching
for a place to record, and at the same
time lets you save your valuable data easily and
accurately
by simply specifying the number with the ten-keys. (See the next item for
Direct Recording.)
@Direct Recording
This recording method allows you to save music data programmed with the keyboard on any
specified part of the tape without destroying the data preceding or following it.
By simply specifying the number with the ten-keys and pressing the RECORD button, saving
data on the specified part of the tape is possible, letting you use your tapes economically.
Even the longest tunes take only about 24 seconds to save. Therefore, the music data
of over 100 tunes can be saved on a 60 minute tape for utmost economy.

Save the 25th tune by pressing ten-keys ''2'' and
Save a new tune with the number 22 by pressing the ten-key
"2?" twice.
When specifying parts of the tape already used for saving data for the recording of new data
(as in the case of tune 22 in the illustration above), all you have to do is re-record the ap-
propriate tune (the 22nd in our case) without fear of destroying the preceding and following
data (21 and 23). By using this method, you can temporarily save a program which is not yet
complete,
then
load
it into
the keyboard
section
for correction and additions. After the
program is completed, you can save (record) it again on the same part of the tape.
