2) Programming the duration of the notes

@ While reading the score, enter the durations of the notes and the rests with the appropriate
keys.
© Pressing the white keys with the note duration symbols below them plays the notes entered
in step 1) one after the other.
© Pressing the black keys with the rest symbols above them causes a high-pitched signal sound
to be heard.

(Set the channel to POLY and the Keyboard Mode to MEMORY.

(2) First, enter the tone color.

© Preset sound — Press the TONE select button ( (§ ) and then enter the PIANO-1 sound
with the black key.
© Unison — Press the UNISON button ( "Ti" ) to turn it off.
If you leave it on, only single notes will be played even if you enter chords.
(3) Enter the pitch of "the notes in the correct order, using the keys of the keyboard. (The
durations of the notes and the rests are irrelevant for the time being.)

In cases like this (when the components of ac chord differ in duration), first press

the key corresponding to the longer note ( @ ). Then, keeping this key pressed,
press the keys of the shorter notes (@ , iy ) in the correct order.

of a chord all of the same duration), you can

either press all the keys of the chord at the same time, or else press any of the keys
first and then, while keeping it depressed, press the other key(s).

heard

time.
(The duration of j is entered
automatically when you
press the [ 2 ] key twice.)
In cases like this, pressing the [2] key once enters the duration of both notes and
causes the chord to be heard.
