Projecting the Test Pattern

You can use the operations below to have the Projector project the test pattern as a No Signal Screen
(page 57) or Blank Screen (page 57).
Use the test pattern when adjusting the parameters of the projected image (position, size, keystone
correction, focus, aspect ratio, etc.) The test pattern is useful for making fine adjustments after wall-
mounting the projector.
Important!
 During AC adapter-powered operation, Auto Power Off (page 35) and Auto Projection (page
62) are disabled while the test pattern is being projected.
 Regardless of the "No Signal Screen" and "Blank Screen" settings, the test pattern will not be
projected if a battery is connected to the projector.
 The "No Signal Screen" and "Blank Screen" settings cannot be changed while a battery is
connected to the projector. To change these settings, connect the projector to the AC adapter
only.
To project the test pattern as the no signal screen
1.
Display the Setup Menu (page 50).
2.
Use the [] and [] keys to select "Screen Settings" and then press the [ENTER]
key.
3.
Use the [] and [] keys to select "No Signal Screen".
4.
Use the [] and [] keys to select a "Test Pattern".
5.
After you are finished, press the [MENU] key.
 Configuring this setting causes the test pattern to appear when there is no input signal to the
projector.
