Turning the Projector Off

1.
To turn off the projector, press the [P] key.
 If the projector is being powered by the AC adapter, the POWER/STANDBY indicator (red) will
flash for a few seconds, and then stop flashing and remain lit.
 If the projector is being powered by a battery, the POWER/STANDBY indicator (red) will flash
for a few seconds, and then go out.
2.
Disconnect the AC adapter from the projector and then unplug the power cord
from the power outlet. If you are using the battery for power, disconnect it from
the projector.
Note
 If the projector is being powered by the AC adapter, the indicator may remain lit for a while
after it is disconnected from the projector or after the power cord is unplugged from the power
outlet. This is normal and does not indicate malfunction.
Auto Power Off
Under initial default settings, Auto Power Off is enabled and will automatically turn off the projector
after about 10 minutes of non-operation (no key operation and no input signal). You can use "Option
Settings 1 3 Auto Power Off" (page 58) to change the Auto Power Off trigger time or to disable Auto
Power Off.
Note
 The projector will turn off automatically if no key operation is performed and there is no input
signal to the projector for about five minutes under battery power, regardless of the current
Auto Power Off setting (page 35).
Auto Projection Off
When this setting is enabled, the projector automatically turns off the projection light when the input
signal to the projector is cut off. The light will turn back on and projection will resume automatically if
the input signal is restored within 20 minutes after the light turns off (within five minutes under battery-
powered operation). If an input signal is not received by the projector within 20 minutes (five minutes
under battery-powered operation), the projector will automatically turn off.
This function comes in handy when multiple computers are alternately connected to the projector. For
details, see "Using Auto Projection Off" (page 62).
