Turning the Projector On

1.
Use the procedure under "Preparing a Power Source" (page 28) to connect the
projector to a power source.

Press the [P] key to turn on the projector.
 Turning on the projector will cause the POWER/STANDBY indicator (green) to flash for a few
seconds, and then stop flashing. Projection will start at this time.
Turning the Projector On by Connecting to an External Device Using an
HDMI Cable
Using an HDMI cable to connect the projector to an external device (computer, video device, etc.) that
is turned on will cause the projector to turn on automatically. If the HDMI-connected external device is
turned on after it is connected to the projector, the projector will turn on automatically when it is able
to detect an HDMI signal from the connected device.

Direct Power On
Direct Power On automatically turns on the projector when the AC adapter connected to the projector
is plugged into a power outlet. For information about Direct Power On settings, see "Option Settings 1
3 Direct Power On" (page 58).
Note that Direct Power On is supported only while the projector is being powered by the AC adapter.
It is not supported while the projector is being powered by the battery, regardless of the Direct Power
On setting.
