8. Click the Next button.
The Setup Wizard searches your Internet connection for servers and protocols to determine your ISP
configuration.
9. Follow the pages and the steps that the Setup Wizard presents, which depend on the detected type of
ISP connection and configuration.
Note Your WiFi connection might be terminated during the detection and setup process. If
this happens, simply reconnect to the modem router and wait for the process to
continue.
Toward the end of the detection and setup process, you can change the password for the modem router
and select two questions for password recovery.
When the modem router is connected to the Internet, the Congratulations! page displays, and you
successfully completed the setup process.
10. Click the Next button.
You are prompted to download and install the free NETGEAR Desktop genie app and the free
ReadySHARE Vault app.
If the Congratulations! page does not display and the modem router does not connect to the Internet, do the
following to troubleshoot the connection:
