6. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
7. Erase the DTC memory.
8. Read the DTC.
Is DTC 11-5 indicated?
Y E S — Go to step 9.
NO —Short to ground in the driver's side airbag
inflator; replace the driver's side airbag (see page
23-282). •
9. Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for
3 minutes.
10. Disconnect the S R S floor harness 2P connector (A)
from the front passenger's side airbag (B), and
disconnect the special tool from the S R S floor
harness 2P connector.

11. Disconnect S R S unit connector B (14P) from the
S R S unit.
12. Check resistance between the No. 13 and No. 11
terminals of S R S unit connector B (14P), between the
No. 13 and No. 12 terminals, and between the
No. 13 terminal and body ground.
There should be 1 M£> or more.

Is the resistance as specified?
Y E S - F a u l t y S R S unit; replace the S R S unit (see
page 23-296). •
N O - S h o r t to ground in the S R S floor harness;
replace the S R S floor harness. •
