Requirements for commissioning

Overview
The following requirements must be fulfilled for commissioning a SINAMICS S drive system:
• A programming device (PG/PC)
• TIA Portal with integrated Startdrive engineering tool
• A communications interface, e.g. PROFINET, Ethernet
• Completely wired-up drive line-up (see SINAMICS S120 manuals)
Configuration example
A configuration example with booksize components and PROFINET communication is shown in
the following figure:
