Roles
When you enable user administration, the system creates the following two roles:
• ES Administrator
This role is assigned to the project user first created and has all three function rights by
default. Each project requires at least one administrator, authorized to edit the project and
the security settings. In addition, other users may be assigned the right to manage users and
roles.
• ES Standard
Users with this role have the "Open project read-only" and "Open project read/write" rights.
You cannot change or delete these system roles. You can create additional roles and assign these
the required function rights.

Additional local user administrations
Besides the user administration for projects, there are also additional user administrations in
certain areas of the TIA Portal, e.g. for WinCC Panels.
