Background Processing and Noise Reduction
Background processing can be used to patterns and noise captured in the
background. Perform the Background Process setting using the following procedure
and while checking the image.
Image to be deleted

After background processing
1.
Set the Background Process level to Low, perform
segmentation, and check the image to see if the noise has
been eliminated.
2.
If the noise is still present, increase the Noise Reduction
setting, and then perform segmentation again and check
whether or not the noise has been eliminated.
3.
If the noise is not eliminated even when you increase the
Noise Reduction setting to 10, set the Background Process
level to Middle, perform segmentation, and check the image
again to see if the noise has been eliminated. If the noise is
still present, repeat from step 2.
4.
If the noise is not eliminated even when the Background
Process level is set to Middle, set it to High, and check
again as per step 3.
Note
When the Background Process is set to Middle or High, the
character(s) will be displayed in a somewhat deformed state after
segmentation. However, this display is not the character image
that will be registered.
To view the character image that will be registered, select
