Installing the robot arm

Risk of injury due to loss of stability
The robot arm can tip, fall down and trap persons.
Ensure stability of the robot arm when removing it from the transport pallet or
installation surface.
Make sure that removal of the robot arm is always performed by at least
two employees.
Risk of injury due to use of unsuitable transport gear.
Danger to life due to falling parts if unsuitable transport gear is used for transport
of the robot.
Only lift the robot with the transport devices included in the scope of delivery
and on the tested load-bearing points.
Use only suitable transport gear and fasteners with sufficient bearing load.
Risk of falling due to eccentric center of gravity
In case of incorrect fastening, the robot arm can tip and cause life-threatening
injuries.
Make sure that the instructions for transport of the robot arm are adhered to.
Risk of damage
There is a risk of damage to the sensor system and robot arm.
Please note that tightly gripping and pressing the sensor skin during lifting and
transport of the robot arm is not permitted. Only light guiding is permitted.
Set down the robot arm only at the prepared installation location.
Otherwise there is a risk of tipping and damage.
Make sure that the installation location for the robot arm meets the following
conditions:
– The substructure for installation must be capable of securely absorbing the
loads and vibrations arising in operation.
– The substructure must be secured against tipping over.
– The distance to the respective application must be within the range of the robot
arm.
– The distance between installation location and the stationary environment must
correspond to the intended motion sequence. If a hose breakaway device has
been installed, it may be necessary to take into account additional distance for
the routing of the pneumatic lines.
– The distance to the installation location of the associated robot controller and
the safety module must be taken into account. It depends on the length and the
routing of the connecting cables.
– The drill holes for fastening of the robot arm have been prepared.
The robot can be fastened on a foundation or a machine frame.
