6 Assembly and installation
The following training is required for assembly and installation of the product:
Qualification of the person commissioning the sensor skin
(see Personnel qualifications on page 11).

6.1 Ambient conditions

For proper functioning and safe operation, the installation locations must meet
certain conditions. Make sure prior to installation that the installation locations for
the components meet the general conditions:
• The installation location is in industrial operations, indoors, within a temperature
range of +15 °C to +35 °C.
• There is an industrial, EMC-compliant environment with corresponding lighting
(no direct sunlight/UV radiation).
• No ESD protection zones have been established at the installation location.
• The floor is level, dry and dust-free, with sufficient solidity.
• Humidity, temperature, air pollution and other environmental impacts must be
within expected limits. No condensation or precipitation is permitted.
• The product must be protected against damaging quantities of splashing water and
dust.
• The required space, including free spaces and escape routes, has been defined
by the owner and has been inspected by the owner's safety officer prior to the
production release.
The suitability of the environment must be assessed in an application-specific
risk assessment and ensured by suitable measures in case of deviations.
Prior to installation, make sure that the respective installation location for
all components also meets the conditions stated below.
Adapt the installation location to the conditions if necessary.
Only commission the robot controller once the inside temperature of the
control cabinet matches the ambient temperature. Great temperature
differences can result in condensation which can damage the electrical
systems.
