3 Insert a formatted Hi8 tape in the PCM-800.

4 Press MENU so the LCD screen reads:
Input Select
Analog
are in Record Ready mode.
If you intend to record analog audio, adjust the output level
controls of the source machine until the red OVER indicator in the
meters on the PCM-800 does not light.
8 Hold RECORD and press PLAY to start audio record.
9 To terminate recording, press STOP.
1 0 To insure against accidental erase, put the tracks into Safe mode

1 1 Rewind the tape to the beginning of the recording just done.
