EBM Control is the machine control software used on Arcam EBM machines that controls the beam path,
all motors, pumps and supervision of the machine. It has a graphical user interface (GUI) that offers differ-
ent functions depending on the machine type.
There are two different GUI modes: Production mode and Engineering mode. Depending on which mode
the user enters, the GUI looks different.
The production mode is only available for Spectra and the Q-series.
There are four levels of user access, see 7.2.1 User Access .

Production Mode gives limited access to machine controls. Its layout will guide the
operator throughout the procedure of preparing the machine for a build.
This mode is especially for the Operators and Production Operators, but the Admin-
istrator and Engineer can also access this mode.

The Engineering Mode gives access to the machine controls and parameters. This
mode is for the Administrator or Engineer.
